Looking for cars I stumbled on a 2000 Audi TT quattro 5 speed. Everything seems great, the price is right (12000 with 61k mi), but I am concerned about the repair costs on an Audi. I have heard the repair costs get overwhelming, and would like anyone's input.

Audis are extremely expensive cars to maintain. They are good cars and I like some of them including the TT. But I am way too cheap to ever buy one. Just make a list of common parts that need repairing and check out the prices of just the parts. Then compare those prices to similar cars made by Chevy, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai etc. You'll get the idea.
