Hey guys, got a recent new car buying experience that I have a problem with. I just bought an 07 Honda Fit base model. MSRP for this vehical is 14500. When the finance manager sat down with me to go over the options he told me that the price I was paying was $16200. I thought that this had included tax's and other fee's but it didn't. Four day's later I sit down to look at the finance paperwork to see that the $16200 is what the dealer charged me for the vehical price alone. I know this is my fault as I did not pay attention when I was signing paperwork(was excited to get it), but was just wondering if the Dealership is allowed to jack the price up like that. Like I said, it's my own stupidity for not paying attention. Ah well, learning experience.

Jbone,
A dealership could sell you any car for any price. They could sell you a fit for $45,000. Obviously that's far fetched but you get the point.
I do believe the salesman should of told you the price was $16,200 and it was a little shady that you didn't know. But just to make you feel a little better Honda Fits are in demand and $16,200 isnt too bad. Most dealership are marking up fits atleast $1,000.
