Recently replace a broken temperature gauge but the engine light will not turn off and continues to gives a trouble temperature gauge code. I've tried pulling the ECU and back up ECU fuses but it still does not clear the code. I've also tried disconnecting the battery but nothing seems to clear the code. Since this is a older model accord(pre-OBD) its a little tricky. Does anybody have any ideas?

check the wiring from the gauge to the sender unit and what is the codes?try replacing the sender unit
