I have a '94 Honda Accord. The front passenger side makes a terrible vibrating/rubbing sound when I turn right or when I accelerate from a stop. Sometimes it does it and sometimes not. There is no pattern other than what I said. I have had the CV joints replaced on both sides and my brother tells me that the shocks need replaced but that won't fix the sound. Any ideas?? Please help!!

Perhaps the tires might be the cause. How does the wear on the tires look? When was the last time you got new tires?

i have the same problem. whenever i turn my '98 honda accord ex, i hear a groaning sound. Sounds like marhhhhhh, and goes left or right. It actually seems like the sound is always there, new occurrence, but gets significantly louder (from whisper to the level of someone talking) when I make a turn and possibly during acceleration (though this has not been confirmed).
I'm going to get my car checked out today, I hope. I will let you know what they say.

I dont think the Accord has a driveshaft. Remember, its front-drive so it has a transaxle, and its vastly different from a rear-drive car. My first thought was "cv joints", but since you said you had the CV joints replaced Im thinking maybe wheelbearings or tires.
