Hello, I have a list of concerns, so please bear with me.
I recently acquired a 2000 Sebring with a new transmission put into it - still on warranty. It runs just fine, smoothly, in fact. However, on occassion, when I put the car from park to any other gear it makes a thud noise/vibration. What is that?
Also, is it normal for the temperature to read exactly in the middle from Cold and Hot on the temp gauge?
On occassion, the car will make a chirping noise. I know the belts have been replaced. Could it be that they need to be adjusted?
THanks for all the input!

As you stated ; it makes a thud noise/vibration. What is that? Is your Idle high at that time ? are your C/V joints good ? any play in the front Suspention ? as far as temp In the middle is just fine ,
as far as belt noise , you,ll need to post that in Engine Thank`s for looking !

Hmmm...
perhaps I'm a nervous nancy!
Well, I did think of the C/V joints as soon as I posted, because I did feel a click when I made some turns today. The engine itself functions smoothly on the road, so it just may very well be. I have an appointment tomorrow to see what's going on.
I'll certainly repost in engine. Thanks for the tip!

The CV joints were fine. Turns out to be some kind of inner transmission problem. I'm slated to take it in the transmission shop tomorrow. Fortunately, the transmission is under warranty.

So, as the world turns, here is how the drama unfolded or the solution at the moment:
seems that they had to take the transmission out and replace bearings of sorts. I forgot the full explaination over a nap after work.
