I am having trouble getting my new Sequoia fixed. First, it has 2000 miles on it and is two months old. Problem first happened when going over railroad tracks (no I was not speeding) and I attempted to break. Breaks shuddered, pedal went to the floor and I ended up in the middle of the intersection. Minutes later and squishy brakes I felt an awful vibration when trying to brake and the front end of the car changed lanes on its own. Now I have it towed to the local Toyota dealership in which I brought the car from and they are telling me it is not covered under warranty. They are stating a "rock" flew up and hit my ABS sensor wires??? and sliced them and because it is from an outside source they can not repair it. I questioned the structure and "toughness of this vehicle" as I assumed when buying the car it was an "SUV". $600 later and the tow they are repairing my vehicle. I have attempted to complain but am being disregarded. I have even asked for district numbers and no one has returned my call. Has anyone ever heard of this problem, I am not vehicle savy and of course have no idea what they are talking about.

I too had brake problems for 3 years and 7 trips to toyota to check my brakes when they kept telling me they were fine. Now I lost the brakes and had an accident. Keep all your receipts, call corporate. 800-331-4331 I had squishy brakes more than once. this is a master cylinder problem. I am currently in contact with corporate to see if they will do a thourough examination of my brakes. I intend to fight this. I bought a 100k bumper to bumper warrantee & done every maintenance scheduled. MY brakes failed me! they had me thinking I was nuts bringing it in so much for the squishy brakes. google master cylinder - learn my dear before you crash. good luck.
