I have a 1998 Mazda 4x4 truck, B4000 series. Just last week I had my truck at a service station for a quick inspection and they said everything was fine.
Yesterday I was driving on a highway and I heard a noise that sounded like what a flat tire sounds like when driving on pavement. I pulled over and the tires were fine. I then continued home and the noise continued. It became a banging noise and seems to be coming from the front of the truck. There was also an occasional clicking noise and what sounded like fluid moving... I went for a little drive tonight around the block and the noise is still there, so it doesn't seem to matter what speed I am going at. At high speeds it seemed to be a banging accompanied with a loud whirling noise. At low speeds it is just the banging noise and the fluid sound...
Can anyone possibly give me an idea as to what this could be before I take it into the repair shop?
Thanks very much.
