Sure thats an easy one, you can get a Master kit from ATP or Transtech. Napa caries the ATP line. part number 1-6435, you will need two bands part number 1-5019, and of course a new filter , 2 new servo pistons. As for other" hard" parts, you will have to wait until teardown to see what else you need.

I have a 94 Chevy Corsica 3.1. When I start the car in the morning and shift from Park to Reverse there is a whining and clicking noise. This started last winter and disappeared during the summer. It started again a few days ago. This noise occurs only when starting in the morning. Is this anything to worry about? Thanks in advance for replying.

Im pulling a transmission on a 2003 ford ranger (2.3L-5.speed) I have the driveshaft removed and all the electrical connectors removed, there is a "peephole" about 3"x3" square on the lower left(drivers side) of the bellhousing. i can see the pressure plate and internal slave cylinder when i peep in.
well....the problem is that there seems to be a hydralic line right above this peephole, it seems to feed into the slave cylinder, but it has a weird connector, do you know if i will need a special disconnect tool? if you have any info or links please let me know. thanx....

Yes it does take a special tool. If you are pulling it to put a new clutch pack in , the tool should come with the new clutch pack .

Hello, Hog Rider I have a 93 GMC K1500/4x4 Suburan. I had the transmission rebuilded May 17, 2007. The transmission was working great. The reason I had it rebuild was because I didn't have a reverse 2nd or overdrive. Now without even putting 4000 miles on it just all of a sudden stop shifting out of 2nd into 3rd and so on. Althought I have reverse. I hook it up to a computer and ran some test on it and conclusion being is that my torque converter clutch will not come on it stays off, but my TCC is working fine as I get on and off the brake. I tried a computer out of a perfectly working vechile and put mine in it. Mines work fine in his and his did the same in mines. So I was wondering how can this problem be fix. Do the torque converter clutch suppose to come on??? If so how can I fix it?? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I take it that this is a 5R55E . One most common thing with this trans is valve body gasket" blow out". at the solenoids, I would suggest dropping the pan and valve body and replacing the gaskets with the updated molded separator plate. Scan the computer data to make sure there is a command coming from the ECM for the solenoids. The solenoids are really easy to change. But I realy would install the updated separater plate, while you have the pan and vale body down.

1st timer here, i have a 96 ford probe, on my way to work the transmission felt alittle sluggish.when i got off of work i started it up and drove 2 blocks to a gas station for some fluid.it was about a quart low so i put in some gunk sealer/fluid.the car moved about 10 foot after that.it goes into gear but doesn't move...what are the chances of it being a simple filter fix???and if not then it would be the torque convertor...right???

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, V8 Quadra Drive. 67,530 miles on it, not driven that much obviously. The other day my air bag light and transmission light came on at the same time, and when I took off from a stop light it seemed to be in a higher gear than it should be in. When I stopped at the next light the vehicle died. After a few minutes it started back up, but the two lights remain on, and it seems like its not in 1st gear. I checked the transmission fluid and the levels are ok. Any Idea of what the issue may be? How much it would cost to fix it? Thanks for your time! Just looking for general ideas on the problem I may be facing.

I am trying to swap out a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme transmission with a 1994 transmission. The sensor plugs are not the same. Is there a way to change out the plugs so that they are compatible?
If it will be easier please feel free to e-mail me @ moody@abgcaulking.com
Thank You! Greg Nail

I have 1995 Chevy pickup 305 engine. I have had the transmission rebuilt. But when I am driving then stop at a stop light and then drive it appears that the transmission is trying to take off in overdrive, We have hooked a computer up to this and all gears are shifting and down shifting. The problem has seemed to go away. The tranmission guy seems to think that the power was lost to the tranny. any ideas. When this happens if I shift it into low manualy it takes off then shifts ok. There are no error codes on the computer Thanks
