My voyager has an engine code P0740A identified as TCC circit malfunction. Engine was just replaced. code appeared first day out of shop..... never displayed code prior to this point. This code relates to the torque converter in the tranny....... can you shed a little light on what my options are. I will have the mechanic check all tranny wiring today. Thanks

3-spd or 4-spd trans mission? if 3-sp check the TCC connector (2-wire connector beside the manual valve shaft)

I think it's a 3 speed...the dash indicator shows D 3 L  Please excuse my ignorance....... but what side of the tranny is the manual valve shaft on? can I reach it from the top or from underneath?

you got a 4spd trans (41te)the tcc is controlled by the transmission control module through the solenoid switch pack. i'm afraid it won't be easy for a DIYer. possible causes are: transmission operating very hot, incorrect fluid level, internal transmission problem (tcc out of range), valve body, solenoid pack

Thanks for the heads up on checking the connections.......... one of the connectors was not seated properly. It clicked into place when I pushed on it...... I had auto zone reset the code for me and the warning light has not come back on.......
