I found that connector you were looking for Cindy, is this the thing you were looking for? www.liangdianup.com/computeraccessories_1.htm It's on the list of computer accessories and parts. They have the DVI video thing to convert that *** monitor to work with your other computer. Just about any other kind of wire adaptor, usb connectors, monitor extension wires, ps2 extention wires, and all kinds of female and male swap connectors and things that I think would help your shop. If that above link don't work then goto www.lducompany.com and click on computer accessories. Let me know if that is what you need and give me your email address again.

I bought my 2000 Ford Expedition at Carmax in 2006 as is. Minor probs like battery, alternator replacement. Electrical still ok. Recently while driving I heard a ticking in engine and moments later the engine stopped--while in traffic. I tried starting it and it ALMOST turned over 2x. I thought maybe gas filter or fuel pump prob. Towed to the nearest auto place....Firestone (rip off masters--had prior experience with another car). They did a diagnostic and claimed I need to REPLACE the engine. They charge $8000.00. Thats EIGHT THOUSAND. I am at this very moment having it towed FROM THAT PLACE, to get another assessment. I hope it's not engine probs. Anybody have engine quit on them?

Add me to the list. New jobsite has a large puddle (18" deep) that I must drive through. My 1997 Expedition has gone haywire. ABS, Airbag, 4WD drive indicators, Low Wash, Overdrive on Shift lever, all come on or flash. Tonight, the speedometer quit working. Blower keeps working after key removed. Everything everyone else here has mentioned.
Here's my added problem. I'm 5 hours from home. If I take it to a dealer here, they'll have me for lunch. Anyone have any luck repairing on their own?

It's Feb '08 and I'm curious to know what you found out. I'm dealing with a 4 year old situation that mimics each of the reports. 2000 EB Expedition and no one at Ford is acknowledging the situation. Can resealing the windowshield fix the issue? I'm on my 4th battery, 3rd alternator and 2nd coil pack...this is crazy!
Anyone out there have a solution that's worked?

I have a 02 Expedition EB. My electrical problems just started recently. It began with the battery light illuminating and staying on. The first thing I did was replace the alternator and serpentine belt. I thought that was the end of that. Then a few days later all the instrument cluster lights lit up and the guage needles all pegged to the right. All the digital displays went to displaying all 8's and then everything went dark but the truck kept running. I will report this to Ford but I am not holding out much hope that they will do anything about it. This is similar to the Spark plug ejection problem these engines are notorius for. Yes it has happened to me with this same vehicle. I cant even trust it on long trips anymore.

We have a 1999 EB Expedition which has 218,000 miles on it and has been a great car. However, we have had serious issues with the electrical, but only when it rained and rained hard. It started a couple years ago, but since we have been in a drought, not too much trouble. This year, raining everyday, the car finally was draining the battery because the blower, dinging and various other things would stay on AFTER the keys were removed. When it dried out, it was fine.
Just had the windshield REPLACED by GLASS AMERICA in Tampa, and it has been fine. The windshield leak was NOT evident until they actually removed the glass. It was leaking between the urethane and the body of the car. The paint had actually pulled away from the car.
Good luck. We are now hoping to get another 50,000 miles out of her!

My 00 EB Expedition sun roof bracket came off in 07. Unfortunately, the dealership wanted over 1K to replace the whole thing as they couldn't just reattach the bracket. I have experienced all the same crazy symptoms on the electrical system others have posted on this blog. I think I'm going to silicon shut the sunroof. Does anyone have an opinion on this extreme measure or try it themselves. Thanks.
