The alpine out of my 96 jeep was stolen a few months ago and I really cant afford to buy a new radio for it at this time. Driving it without music however is boring when you're stuck in traffic. The alpine wiring harness I believe was stolen along with the radio as the wires in the dash seem to be integrated with the vehicle and not an add on. My question is, I have a stock radio from a 2000 jeep cherokee sitting in my garage and I'd like to install it in my 96. The plugs are different however. Anyone know of any wiring diagrams or any place where i could get an adapter cheap?

that and old old post...
but wiring harnesses that plug into the back of factory radios are available from various suppliers..
check online.. and at radio shack.. i used to get them from the stereo install department at circuit city.. but any good car stereo shop should be able to supply them...
both sides of the factory connector are also available... one to install a new connector between the cut harness ...
and a special connector to hook directly to the non cut factory connector that comes out as DIN radio wiring colors... so one can install an aftermarket stereo without cutting the factory connector off...
