OK, so I'm driving down the road and all the sudden the radio starts "skipping", like the sound kept muting and un-muting then it completely died, then the speedodmeter dropped from 45 to 0 then went back up but then the car completely died on me, and never turned over again. I got it towed, but being Sunday the place isn't open for me to talk to anybody, so I'm asking if anyone here recognizes these symptoms and can give me a heads-up on what the problem may be so I can research parts and how much the repair will cost? Any help is greatly appreciated.

When you try to start it does it do NOTHING,if so, sounds like the battery ran down cause of a bad alternator.
