I went to buy the 1998 Volvo S70 from Town & Country Toyota in Charlotte. The sales person showed me a clean carfax record for this car. When I test drove it, I was not very satisfied, the engine kinda made some noise and the steering was a bit tight.
I got the car inspected and found out that the car needed $4000.00 repair work. The turbo engine was leaking oil, steering bracket was cracked etc.. $60 saved me $7000.00 mistake.
This was Feb 8, 2007.
