I recently noticed on my Jeep 02 Grand limited that the overhead console said that the driver door was not closed. Since I was driving it at the time I knew it was closed.Thing is, none of the windows, door locks, or power mirrors will work while I am driving. I unhooked the battery, and that made the message go off on the overhead console. But still, no windows. And none of the other windows will work in the rear or passenger area. Weird I know, but this is an american made vehicle, so it figures.
I noticed I had a problem when the battery went dead, since the driver door was not considered closed, it left the inside lights on. I have fixed this problem but still doo not have any control over the windows or locks on the vehicle. This is an 02 grand Cherokee Limited. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
02 jeep lover. ( not at this time though)

first thing I would check is the fuses of course.  If that doesn't solve it, try to replace the door switch or check it at least. But check the fuses under your dash and under the hood.  I believe on that model the main fuse relay for the windows is under the hood.

the drivers door switch is the master switch for all of the doors, check power at this switch,if you have power at the master switch ,then the switch is bad..
