Hello I have a 1996 Dodge Stratus 2.4 Liter the alt. ac. belt broke and the car was driven long enough to get it off of the interstate the lights were getting dim but the car was still running. We shut the car off and I got the belt and put it on the next day. The car now cranks over and fires sporadically but will not start. I put a timming belt on a month ago and I have put a new coil on it. I checked the cam sensor and it appears to be good. could this be the crank sensor or something I am over looking. Any help will be appreciated. Allen Tate E-Mail tajaam@mvn.net

If you haven't done so, get the vehicle off the dangerous interstate and into a safe garage. Try jumping, recharging, or replacing the battery because it might be low.

You need to charge your battery up... the computer needs at least 9.5 volts to operate properly and that comes directly from the battery.

It was the crank shaft sensor the battery was charged I failed to put that in my post. I appreciate the replies from you guys. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year. Thanks Once Again Tajaam Allen Tate Mount Vernon Illinois
