Just replaced the transmission and put on new front brakes, calipers, etc. Now the traction control light will not go off. Manual says just to have car serviced but what exactly needs serviced?

I might be wrong, but I don't believe traction control became available until 1994 on this make and model. At any rate, it appears that a traction control module may have been moved during your last brake job, thereby rendering a fault reading. The mechanic who performed the brake job should be able to correct this issue.
