With the Trooper dead, the Rodeo dead, the Axiom dead, the VehiCross dead, the Amigo dead, and that planned 2007 SUV canceled, Isuzu has exactly one model to sell this year: a Chevy TrailBlazer ("Ascender")! Word is that the company's roster will double in 2006 by inheriting the Chevy Colorado pickup. Wow. News to Isuzu: no one buys truck-based SUVs anymore, and no one ever bought compact pickups with 5 cylinders! Anyone want to place a bet on when these guys will go bankrupt? A. 2008 B. 2009 C. 2010 D. GM will keep it alive for all eternity in spite of continuing losses, while throwing it copies of products from every other division until its identity is completely destroyed and the company turns into an unrecognizable self-parody of its former self... like Saab

I'll go with c, and throw Buick in the mix as well. Although I wouldn't be surprised if GM held onto Isuzu. GMC's are all clones with no inherent differences between them and their Chevrolet counterparts yet people still choose one or the other. There's probably some sort of marketing strategy involved in selling the same car or truck with a different badge.

If Joe Isuzu couldnt save them, nothing can. The funniest car is the Isuzu Trooper in white, car actually looked like a storm trooper.

well if GM would keep their hands out of everyone elses pockets and stop gagging the other companies that it has a hand in they might survive, but they arent going to get rid of ISUZU because they need the diesel technology that ISUZU has. Last i heard ISUZU was the only diesel manufacture in japan hat passed the anal rententive emmissions for diesels and if they can pass in JAPAN they wont have a problem anywhere else!

Too bad about Isuzu. My 19 year old just bought a 2000 Rodeo LS 4WD with 126k on it. The car is awesome! Runs like a top, so quiet you can't even hear or feel it. 21 mpg hiway. Handles very well, good brakes. It's a pity that GM has it's hands into SAAB and Isuzu. The new SAAB SUV is a freakin' Chebbie, for goodness' sake! Guess I got lucky when I bot a 2003 9-5, got one of the last of the real SAABs.

I got bad news for ya: your 9-5 is an Opel Vectra. It is a good car, though.
