Does anyone have the answer to this question? A friend of mine had the keys pulled out of their Saturn Vue 2003 SUV while driving. Isn't there some device to prevent this from happening? I own two of these vehicles and am wondering if that really can happen? thanks ! Are the ignitions built so that can't happen? Fishinmachine..........

The key lock is broken in the tumbler. Saturn had alot of problems with the ignition swifch from 2001-2003 where they would lock up and not release at all.

Is there any data on the ignitions actually having a mechanism to prevent them from being pulled out while in a driving position, in gear? How could I find that out?

Would anyone have data or know where I could recieve data relating to the ignition mechanism problems that Saturn Vues {2003} specifically experienced. Is there mechanical data that illustrates that a safety mechanism does exist to keep keys from being pulled out by a child or anyone for that matter as it is being driven? Thanks for the prior reply, I appreciate it!
