I need some advice here. I'm looking at a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner for sale. It's between a 4 (good) and 5 (restorable) on the condition scale. On the surface it looks "OK" but: 1. The trunk floor is starting to rust through. 2. It has been in an accident at some time and the left front fender doesn't line up right 3. There is no holes anywhere but it has some surfact rust on the outside. I believe the rear quarters will have to be replaced down the line. 4. The original 383 has been replaced by a 375 HP 440 and coyote duster air grabber system added on. The original 4 speed has been replace by an auto in a floor console (added in front of the bench seats). Engine seems strong. 5. Original green paint has been replaced by the metallic blue paint.
They're asking $10,500 and I'm nervous here as it's driveable everyday; but will need lots of work to get it back to original condition.
Questions: Am I nuts to pay $10,000 for this car? How much does it cost to replace the back quarter panels?
Thanks, Chuck

Chuck. if you are interested in a nice roadrunner without all the work, contact Jack at 316 778-1700. He had a nice silver metallic for a little more than your gonna possibly pay right now.
