On a Friday evening, I made a deal on a 2006 Pacifica at Johnson's of Enid, Inc. (4405 W. Owen K. Garriott Road, Enid, Oklahoma 73703) (580)-234-5400. Saturday morning the salesman (Trent) said they had made a "mistake" and would not honor the deal we had made. It is dealers like this that give the industry a bad name. You are only as good as your word, and at Johnson's of Enid, their word means nothing. Feel free to contact them at their website http://www.fivestardealers.com/johnsons-enid/Chrysler/fivestarsite?adid=11208845&pid=15395153&bid=&rid=u

My name is Shane Jackson, owner/ General Manager of Johnsons of Enid. For the last 15 years, my family has strived to make our business the most friendly, respectable, dealership in the state. My father began this mission 20 years ago when he sold cars for Mike Johnson in Kingfisher. He worked his way up the ladder over the next ten years became known as one of the most respected and trusted men to purchase a vehicle from. Throughout the years we have developed personal relationships with nearly all our customers and the majority of our business are repeat customers that we've grown to love. On a Friday, yes one of our salespersons made a mistake because we were under the impression the customer recieved a free maintenance plan from Chrysler along with applicable rebates. Chrysler dealers around the nation are familiar with how confusing it can be to figure out what incentives go with other incentives. On the day that this gentleman came into our store to purchase his pacifica, Chrysler had just released the plan in "Lieu" of rebates. The price was the same, but unfortunately we couldn't give him the maintenance plan. We didn't know. Because we make a mistake and immediately explained the situation, does that mean our word doesn't mean anything? When my sales people brought this to my attention that this person had been so disgusted with us and basically said we give the car business a bad name, I was devastated. If only this person realized that when you purchase a vehicle from Johnsons of Enid, you get an honest deal. You're not dealing with sharks, or lowly scum of the earth when you deal with our salespeople. They're humans. Trent, the salesperson in this case is happily married and has a baby girl to feed. We didn't try and make this customer buy this vehicle. If he would have, he'd have had the best service, best price, and the best treatment for years to come. Instead, He'll probably purchase from some other dealership out of pride and not get close to the experience he could have had. And for that I am truly sorry.
Sincerely,
Shane Jackson General Manager Johnsons of Enid.

isn't it ironic that when one guest is happy, they tell one or two people, but when they are upset, even when they may be at fault, they tell 2 million people?

Funny... the same thing happened to my husband and i last night. The price of this car was posted ALL over the internet and i even contacted the dealer 3 different times and he told me the same price everytime. Also we were not told that the price of the vehicle had magically raised until after we had test drove the vehicle, they had looked at my car to take it as a trade-in, and finally it was mention when we started running numbers. They told us the car had needed some "big repairs" after they had put it on the lot. Dont dealerships normally do an inspection on the used vehicles BEFORE they price the vehicle and put the vehicle on the lot to be sold? atleast a honest" dealership would, right? and they did not even fix all that was wrong with the vehicle, it still had a very obvious leak. I understand that people make mistakes, like missing a leak, and they were willing to fix the leak. but not with out raising the price of the vehicle! cant they get in trouble for false advertising?
it is frustrating that a dealership who takes pride in having such an "outstanding history" of being honest can do such things, not only once but twice. and we are the only ones that have posted on this website, so you know there has to be more.

just an update, Johnson's told us that they had changed the price of the vehicle on the internet... well they have not changed it on their website, on this website, or on okautofinder.com.
one lie after another!

Consider it a blessing that you weren't able to buy from Johnson's! We made a huge mistake buying a car from Johnson's of Enid! We bought a 2003 Toyota Highlander in October. We have since moved and have had the Highlander in the dealer shop every week! The auto body can tell it has been in an accident by previous owners, the check engine light comes on and constantly needs to be re-set, the battery has had to be replaced, the window seal has come off, the CD player stopped working, the top luggage rack broke, the windshield needs to be replaced---it was not sealed right and leaks water when it rains, it doesn't start regularly because of a fuse problem (due to the accident). We felt Johnson’s was dishonest when selling us this car. We will tell everyone we know that moves to Enid with the Air Force never to buy a car from Johnson’s.

I bought a new truck from Johnsons a month ago today and that truck has been in the shop there for the past two weeks. The problem with the truck was my own fault (bother in law drove a phillips screwdriver through the oil filter and into a cover on the engine!!!) The filter that came on the truck from the factory was not hand tight as it should have been and the gasket had not been lubed, my brother in law tried for over three hours to get the filter off using every kind of filter wrench you can buy and finally felt that he had to use the screwdriver. To me it seems that this problem was created by the factory not lubing the filter and putting it on so *** tight.
Johnsons has been awesome throughout the whole process and I would give them the highest possible rating on any survey!! Bruce Jackson (the owner of the dealership)took a personal interest in the whole thing and kept me advised as to all that was going on. I own fourteen 3/4 and 1 ton diesel trucks and I will not think twice about returning to Johnsons for next purchase.

Just an update. Yes, Mr. Jackson we did buy from another dealer. Not out of pride as you suggest, but out of necessity. My wife's car had been totaled and we needed a car. We bought from Johnson's of Kingfisher, and were extremely pleased with the difference in attitude between the two dealerships. Mr. Jackson can "TALK" about how great the experience is at his place, but when it comes to reality they are just a bunch of Sharks looking for the next sucker ( in my opinion ).
We drive 1.5 hours round trip to have our car serviced because it is worth it not to have amateurs work on our car. I have talked to many people since this incident ( like someone said before, happy customers tell a couple of people, unhappy customers tell hundreds of people ) , and this is not out of the ordinary for this dealership. If you are considering buying from this bunch of folks who are just too darned confused to figure out what they can and can't offer to customers.Don't take my word for it. Please just do a little research, talk to some people, it won't take very long to find out how they do business.

There must be something about the Johnson name. Johnsons of Kingfisher is far worse than the Enid dealer. Every few weeks I receive a flyer in the mail advertising a sale and a contest. I discovered I did have the matching numbers to claim 2 different prizes according to the flyer. When I drove to the store I was met by a salesman who confirmed I did indeed have the winning numbers.I was then asked if I was in the market to purchase a car today, when I said no he informed me that even though I did win 2 prizes I would not get them as they had run out. The truth is there was no chance I would ever get any prize. I don't think anyone ever receives any prize unless they buy a car. The flyer said no purchase required. This is a complete case of fraud and false advertising . If this dealer does not keep word on his advertised contest do you think he could be trusted at all.The contest is simply a device to get you to their store. Buyer beware ! There are Dodge dealers all over the state so pick a honest dealer somewhere other than Johnsons of Kingfisher. ps The contest runs from June 12th thru June 16th. I was there on the 12th. If they ran out of prizes on the 1st day it proves the intent to not honor their ad.
