I own a Kia, Spectra 2004 {I Think its the 2004.5 edition} | | VIN: | KNAFE121145024398 | | Year/Make/Model: | 2004 KIA NEW SPECTRA LX/EX | PROBLEM: The car has factory installed DRUM BRAKES. Vin number specifies that it comes with DISK brakes in all four tires.
One of my daughters was driving home, the car sliped, broke the "spindell" and the brake fluid line When I went to the dealer, he ordered the "spindell" and when it arrived...IT WAS FOR DISK BRAKES. The Dealers computer, his Book, and every place I've checked states {By the VIN Number} that the car has DISK Brakes, but it really has DRUM Brakes. So I cn not buy the "spindell", nor any other parts by the VIN Number because the parts ARE NOT THE SAME.
SO... What is wrong? The CAR, The VIN, KIA, The Vin number should be UNIQUE and SPECIFIC for each car.
WHAT can I do??
