Performance for the Buck

Which sedan has the most performance for the buck? I would think the BMW 5 Series or the Mercedes E Class would be at the top of any list. Should the Audi A6 be added?

Chrysler 300 C all the way. The Hemi puts out 340hp, more than the A6 or 5 series, and interior room is larger in almost every dimension. The price tag as you can guess is far below either BMW or Audi. Germans make great cars and their performance is unquestionable but the price tag is always inflated due to the name so they will never have "performance for the buck".

I think the Infiniti G35 should be on the list as well.  I realize I own a G35 so I am a little biased, but the G35 is about $10k less (MSRP) than the 5-Series or E-Class.  Horsepower is similar in all the cars and the interior room is similar as well.  Plus, you can't go wrong buying Japanese as they usually run for a long time with minimal issues.  The coup d'etat though has to be the standard option cassette player that comes in the G35...yes dinosaurs like me still have cassettes...now if I could only get an 8-track installed

That's why the G35 and CTS are undiscovered secrets: they have the performance and space of the 5-series and E-class but are priced against the 3-series and C-class.  Think of it as an instant $20,000 off.  Most people don't know how to read a car's specs sheet so most of them never make the discovery.

The same principle applies to the Chrysler 300, only more so: it's in the S-class class of cars but is priced like a C-class.

I think Alfa Romeo 156 GTA is a very cool car but it´s quite expensive...
Top speed: 250 km/h...
Horsepower: 248 bhp...
Said to have good acceleration too...
