Recently purchased with 47K. Has the 5.4 w/ 4WD. Noticed a tapping sound during start up. I know this is normal with all 4.6 and 5.4 motors. But I just changed the oil with MOBIL 1 and guess what, still hear the tapping during start up. It does'nt seem as long but I thought that MOBIL 1 is supposed to adhere to all upper drive train parts? I know it's very thin ( 5-30 weight ) but I thought by switching to a synthetic this would get rid of all tapping during start up and it's 60 out !!!
Anyone have any thoughts??
