Where is the door code hidden? My friend at work bought this suv and it didn't have the owners manual... My '88 Lincoln said it's in the trunk.( I found it) Don't know where to look on his Expedition...

Your door code is on a box located in the hatch area behind the panal on the drivers side.

He said he saw some numbers on the door of the panel, didn't tell me if their it... He did tell me thet the numbers he found are made onto the panel door. I think those are the part numbers...

Hey biker guy, I was in the same situation and the one dealer said it would cost me $80.00 to put it on the diognostic machine to find the code. He was full of it, the code is alot of the time under the dash by the steering wheel. good luck.

Not there either. Oh well, it's his (David) problem. Thanks for the advice/ suggestions.

I bought a new 2000 expedition and the only thing I received with the door code was a little white plastic card.

I tried all these and came up bust - is there really any way to get the code other than going to the dealer? Someone please advise - thanks.

i did a search and came up with this.
I just paid $13 on ebay to find it, but I will share for free ![]() Go to the passenger side and get under there and look up towards the side of the door but forward towards the headlight at the same time. Its on a big sticker that I could clearly see BOSCH on(in the picture I got it said Siemens security so look for both but it's a large sticker). I could see it thru a bunch of wires but couldn't quite read it especially since it was facing away from me. It wasn't up high but more towards the middle of all the wiring mess. I had my husband take off the glove box so we could stick in a light and better see the code. All this took was to squeeze the sides gently by each of the 2 hinges and off it came. The sticker has a ton of numbers on it but it's a larger set, and it's 5 digits. The only set of complete 5 digits we found, and it worked the first time I entered it. The guy I got it from is a mechanic with Ford, and it's there so look hard.

For owners of the 2000 Ford Expedition, Eddie Bauer I KNOW FOR SURE the code is located under the steering wheel!!!!!! Lay on your back, on the drivers side floor, look under the steering wheel to your right, (actually left if your not upside down) you will see a black box, about 3" by 3", its not hidden behind anything!!!! You will see 5 big black bold numbers. IF THE CODE HAS NOT BEEN RESET by the previous owner, this will work. I found it on mine and helped 4 of my friends with theres.
