My daughter drove her 1998 Honda Civic through a deep puddle last night near home. She says the Check Engine light came on and flashed and the car ran very rough all the way home.I test drove it this morning. Check Engine light was on steady; idled and ran smooth for 1 mile; then light started flashing and engine got rough.Any ideas? Is it something that will just "dry out" or does the computer need to be "reset" or something else?
If your spark plug wires were bad and they got wet then it could cause the car to stall. If any moisture got in the distributor then it would cause the car to stall.Something electric that was waterproof is no longer that. Look under the car for any electrical connectors, inspect/clean/reseal. RubenGirona
