i have a 2004 suzuki verona w/approx 24,000 miles. i bought it used. shortly after purchase a light came on, told it was for the 02 censor, had it replaced, light came back on, service said they'd have to replace the other part of the censor in the mean time of waiting for the part, service told me a recall was out on that, they were waiting on info from suzuki and then they'd call, i did research and have come to learn that recall had been there for quite some time, talked w/dealer and they reported that it had been done according to the specs it came out with on the recall back in nov 04 this was before i bought the car in dec 04. they have been trying to fix it, finally they put a 2005 computer in my 04 car, drove it, said that they had driven it for a couple hundred miles (had the car f 2 weeks) and that it seem to fix it. when i got the car back i had drove maybe 3 blocks and it wasn't right. (when i took it in,prior to just getting it back, it had just started acting like it had a bad carb) (you know like how the carb did in the old cars with the stalling, no power, jerky driving, etc.) now when i got it as i began to slow it felt like someone was tapping on the back of the gas pedal and tack would drop. its back at the dealer, they had to reprogram the 05computer but it wasn't fixing it. i know that they have a call into suzuki now on it and waiting for response. i really want this car fixed because when it dose run right i love it, its smooth, comfortable, etc. but it seems like all of a sudden its going from one issue to another and none of them are actually being fixed. i have been told by the serv mgr and rep that they have no idea what is going on, that they had 3 other veronas in there and that suzuki didn't even know how to solve the issues. i have been all over the internet reading what other owners have run into and i keep seeing these issues over and over and none of them being actually corrected. i don't know if this is where i should post, i'm grabing at straws, someone somewhere i would think would have an answer and know what is occurring with these cars. the nhtsa site has posts in complaints and defective reports, don't know if any gov agency is looking into this matter, edmund.com also has post, as does a site from an individual its his own personal lemon site. all these sites will give you some more info maybe as to waht is occurring in the veronas. if anyone there has any info that i can possibly pass on to my serv rep to help assist them i would greatly appreciate it. i know i may be looking at going forward with the lemon policy, 1 i really don't want to cuz like i said i do love my car but i have to be realistic at the same time, i can't continue on driving rentals for the length of my loan or warranty (in which i did buy the extended warranty upon purchase), and 2 i don't even know where to start if i did have to hold someone accountible and proceed with the lemon policy. i'm stumped and desperate here in arizona. thank you for taking the time to at least read this.

are you dealing directly with a Suzuki Dealer? or just a dealership that you purchased the car from?

i purchased it from a dealership that has both a honda and suzuki dealership on their lot. so yes i bought it from a dealership that is a licensed suzuki dealer. what would be the difference if they weren't? i know that the service dept is in contact with suzuki and that they are following suzuki on each step they are taking. i was just informed that this 2004 verona is the first time suzuki came out with this model and 2005 is the second year model, i see that they now have a 2006 verona out, don't understand differences on cylinders but apparantly the 2004 & 2005 are a straight inline 6, something about the lines are all on one side compared to a v6 which has 3 lines on each side. not sure what the 2006 has.
