A few weeks ago, while I was driving my Envoy, it made a loud noise (i can't explain what the noise sounded like) and then it went straight to high RPMs. I pulled into a driveway and made sure everything was alright, after checking and not seeing anything wrong... i put my envoy into reverse..I went forward. I had my husband check my tran. fluid and it was fine. I called a local transmission shop and they told me they had alot of envoy's come in with this problem, they called it "reverse reaction shell". I asked the fixing price and what they would have to do, they said in most cases, they would have to rebuild my transmission.... and it would ring up to about 3 grand. Has anyone had any problems like this before?I have heard nothing but horror stories, with Envoys. Many people have said they have had it happen 2 times a year before.
anyone?
