Does anyone know how to properly prime the tappets in this engine? Manual says to immerse then in oil and push inner sleeve several times with a push rod however I notice no difference after doing this. What is proper feel supposed to be? Thank you for any help!

I would suggest you prime the complete engine after assembly with a oil charge tank.
