I have an 86 Dodge Aries 2.5 liter fuel injected.I have replaced rad and waterpump in the last 2 months. The engine runs fine, except it sucks about a half liter of coolant a week from the overflow. No coolant leaks, and after running at normal temp, you can notice a coolant smell in the engine compartment but no steam or fluid trail on the block..No visible coolant in oil or exhaust. If it is a block leak it is obviously very small, considering the amount of lost coolant. My question is: Do the retail block sealants work well enough to consider,or should I just leave it alone as I don't think there is any coolant contamination in the oil, and other then that the engine runs great.I only use the car as a winter beater, but it is a great little car,and I just replaced the K frame,so it is worth keeping around. Thanks for any info,as I have never used any of these block sealants,so I thought I would get some info from some of you who have. How have these products worked for you,and what brand do you recommend? Thanks in advance for your responses

The only luck I ever had with one is KW Block Seal. I had a Grand AM that had a leaky head gasket and I used that and drove it 2 years.

e] Hey I'm getting ready to use KW block myself on my 95 ford windstar...it was diagnosed by goodyear to have a blown head gasket. But I think the leak is small enough where this engine sealant stuff will work...ill let u know.
