I'm looking to buy a smaller, sportier car, but am having trouble finding a comfortable one (for example, the BMW 3-series does not have sufficient leg room). Anybody have suggestins?

Mercedes-Benz C230, 240, or 320. If you want sporty look at the C230 or 320 with the sport package. What price range are you trying to be in?

Mazda Miata is as small and sporty as you can get, and sky's the limit on headroom (literally). Plus if anyone questions your manhood for driving a Miata, you can step right out and pound them, being 6'2" and all.

Have you looked at the Mini Cooper for the front seats are great for my husband is 6'2 and he has plenty of room however the back seats I would say are great for a small child or dog or luggage.

The new eclipses are pretty quick and sporty but have lots of leg room when I drove one. Although I'm only 5'10" but it had way more leg room than my 1991 GSX did. My evo is very comfortable and it looks really sporty. The only problem is for people who want a fast car but want it to be somewhat a family car, there is no automatic version. Evos and WRX STis are basicly the same car except the evos are a bit faster and handle better according to edmunds. Suprisingly it is pretty comfortable to ride in considering it has a pretty stiff suspension for handling reasons. Online pictures dont do an evo any justice. You gotta see it in person to apriciate one. What price range are you in? You can get an evo IX for just under 30 grand for a new one.
