2005 Chevrolet 1500 HD Silverado

I own a new Chevy 1500 HD Silverado truck with 5,000 miles. On three different occassions while driving on the freeway, the front end has started to shake as if driving on a washboard surface. The steering wheel vibrates and it feels as if I might have a flat. If I brake, the brakes feel tighter than usual. When I pull over, the brakes smell really hot, but when I get back on to the road all is fine. This has happened on the freeway at freeway speeds on decent road surfaces, once at 3,000 miles, again at 4,500 miles and then lately at 5,200 miles. Each time I have taken it into a dealer, I get the old -"if I can't find anything wrong, how can I fix it? Next time it happens, bring it in". The problem cannot be duplicated and seems to occur randomly. The dealer has checked everything out, but cannot find anything wrong. Anybody have any ideas?

Could be one of several things but I would tell them to change the wheel speed sensors. They can create all kinds of problems with the braking system.
