Anyone help with a 1994 Jeep Cherokee ignition problem?

I have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee, straight 6. I have been having issues wiht the key ignition. Today...it would not start. I actually even broke the plastic that goes around the ignition because I turned it so hard.

I have power to the vehicle, but when I put the key in it will not complete the turn to crank.

Any thoughts?

Replace the key switch.
