Oh, my, god, Becky, Japan's oldest and most expensive car just died.

Acura Retiring NSX; New Supercar In Development

Acura plans to put the current NSX supercar--which entered the market in the 1991 model year--out to pasture. It plans a successor to the mid-engine supercar but has not committed to what kind of car, exactly, the NSX replacement will be. The current NSX will end its long production run in December, as the cost of retooling it to meet new safety and emissions regulations would be prohibitive for such a slow-selling model. The new model will be an ultra-high performance vehicle, Honda senior vice president John Mendel said in a release, but Honda released no specifics on the timing or engineering of the new vehicle. Honda has sold a total of 8854 NSXs in th U.S. through the end of June of this year.

It is a great car to drive and even though it is very low it is fairly comfortable. The horsepower is weak for a "supercar". As with with most Honda/Acuras you have to drive them hard to feel the "power".

NSX was a very unique Japanese exotic car. However, with that price tag i'll take a Porsche 911 and be just like everyone else.
