I need some ideas what could be wrong. I am leasing a van, got the driver side brake light fixed a few months ago, now its not working again, tried a new fuse and bulb still not working. Its not (along with everything else thats been wrong) covered by the warrenty. Also the check engine light keeps coming on, but when I bring it in they see nothing wrong, the steering has gone out a few times in mid driving and the a/c doesnt work. Car Hop that I am leasing it through wont' let me out of my contract for the van, anyone have any ideas that can help me fix the van, without takin it to the shop and being charged an arm and a leg?

As far as the brake light on the vehicle it could be a bad bulb socket. With someone pushing on the brake use a test light and check to make sure you are getting power at the light on the white wire with a light brown tracer. As far as the check engine light it could be a simple as a bad gas cap. The sterring going out is probably the power steering pump and the ac is probably low on freon (which has a leak in it that needs repaired).
