Hi, all I try to buy a car and struggling between New Honda Accord EX and Lexus 2003-2002 ES300. Both price are simmilar, but there are many difference. Both car are good. But, I want to know more advantages and disadvatages for each cases when I buy one rather than the other.
My condition: Budge: $25000, with loan (down pay: $5000 ~ $8000) Credit: may have 7.5% apr.. (I don't know exactly) Insurance: bad record. so, new car: $4800(for honda), $4500(for lexus) : This is killing part. but I have to buy a car and want to go one of them. Reasons to go honda: it's new and has new technologies, I can manage it from new condition. Honda accord is also good car, I may go with full option. to go Lexus: I can drive luxiouly car. I like lexus. I consider pre owned certified, better to drive a better car even it's little old, since new car goes old anyway, so it's better to drive lexus: this is my thought.
I need your opinions. Some friends say good car is better! Some friends say 2-3 years old car give you better deal and good to drive lexus..
mmm this is first time to buy.!! Please, Any comment will help!!

I think a slightly used, certified Lexus is as good a buy as a brand new Accord. The Lexus certified program is very good. So I wouldn't be afraid to buy a used Lexus. So it really just depends on what you want. Do you want more luxury but slightly used or do you want less luxury but brand new? I haven't driven either of those cars, but the main reason I'd want a Lexus is just because of the brand. Which is kind of silly so thinking logically I'd probably rather have a new Accord with the newest technology in it.

The proper question is either "Honda Accord or Toyota Camry?" or "Acura TL or Lexus ES330"? The first two are rival family cars. The next two are high-priced rip-offs of the first two.

You don't want to go with Honda anymore. Their craftmensship has gone down the tubes. Lots of recalls. Go with a Nissan. Extremly reliable and holds its value well. Even more than a Lexus.

I have had many problems with my RX300. CD issues, turning radius, breaks, and computer issues. I also have had very poor customer service in the phoenix area and corporate calls did not assist me in a manner that I was satisfied with. I wouldn't recommend getting a Lexus unless you can fix it yourself. My dad didn't like his and got a caddy SUV likes it. My sister in law will be dumping her Lexus soon too. Toyota was a great company as far as service when I was young and in the midwest. Here on the west coast, I highly recommend against it. Medical professional female treated poorly by Lexus service.
