A new COROLLA COUPE will offer a sportier design statement, will use unique parts to differentiate it from the 4 door sedan. Is intended to be a spiritual sucessor to the Celica.
The engine will be up to 2.0 liter, 150 horsepower at 6250 RPM, 146 torque at 4500 RPM (the coupe will have 200 HP at 6250 RPM and 135 torque at 4000 RPM) the coupe will have the same 2.0 liter engine.
Toyota is going after the new Si... lets hope the new coupe will have a manual transmission, a LSD, and some other goodies.

If the new Corolla is as "sporty" lookin' as the Camry, Toyota needs to hire new designers.

i wish they had pics, oh well.
they made the camry as sporty as they could while keeping it "safe" in terms of a best selling car's styling. they didnt want to go overboard, but i think they did a great job. the sport version actually looks good.

I like the celica, glad I got one before they were discontinued. Only wish I had the extra cash to spring for the GTS with action package.

i'm pretty interested in how this turns out. hopefully it'll be just as good as the Si spec wise (i've never driven one so i don't know how it feels)

Wow 200hp from a 2.0 liter engine, thats pretty exciting. Hopefully it won't look bubbly like the previous 2132031231 generations of Corollas.

That's Dodge Caliber ugly... what is Toyota thinking?!?! The only thing that I do like is that it seems to have projectors.
