Hello,
Hoping someone can help! I bought a 2002 Toyota Camry about a month and a half ago. No problems so far. Tonight, I noticed a flow of water coming from underneath my car after I had parked it about an hour before. I checked the liquid and it feels/looks like water. No odor, not greasy, slippery, etc.
I shone a light underneath to see if I could locate the source. A little further back than the front axle, near the center, but slightly closer to the passenger side, I saw a spout, dripping water slowly. So, it looks like it is a normal place for something to be dripping.
I live in the northeast and did not have my a/c on today at all....or recently for that matter. We have had a lot of rain, but none for about 24 hours. I have driven it plenty since the rain stopped. Is this "leak" normal...or something to be concerned about? It is similar to when you shut off your car on a hot day. But it was not warm today and I did not run the a/c. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance! Pete

If it is coming from a drain or spout like you say then don't worry about it, if it's draining then it's doing it's job. You may have had some blockage that broke loose, also most modern cars the a/c compresser is engaged in defrost or vent not just the a/c postion.

I owned one of those and it seems to be common with them. That pipe you have found is the drain from the heater area where the condensed water can flow out. Mine leaked even if I only used the heater fan to circulate air.
