Everyone likes the Honda Accord. Some like it so much that they put every effort into mimicking it. But would you expect this from its own creator? Honda’s mainstream Accord has a V6. Honda’s flagship Acura 3.5RL has a V6. The Accord is front-wheel drive. The Acura is front-wheel drive. The Accord has a double-wishbone suspension. The Acura has a double-wishbone suspension. The Accord is a mid-size sedan with 111.7 cubic feet of interior space. The Acura is a mid-size sedan with 111 cubic feet of interior space. Differences? Yes: the Acura’s V6 is down by 25 compared to the Accord’s, it’s a little smaller on the inside, and it’s price tag comes with a $15,000 markup. Isn’t variety great? Thank God for the 3.5RL. It answers the prayers of all the consumers who demanded “what this world needs is a slower, $43,800 Honda Accord.”
