I wonder if aluminum would have been worth it anyway. Personally, increases in quality, more horsepower (you can never have enough), more standard features but keeping prcies low (think Acura) is the better Gorgeous way.

There is part of me that would like to see more manufacturers switch over to AL but like the article said, most consumers really don't care. The luxury car moto now seems to be if its heavier just give it more power. HP numbers sell more cars then power to weight ratios, so I can see were they are coming from.
