Well, this is interesting. Members of GM Inside News have created their own website where members showcase versions of GM vehicles they believe would revitalize the troubled automaker. First up: Buicks:

http://www.gminsidenews.com/naias/revitalization/

2010 Buick LaCrosse

2010 Buick Wildcat

2009 Buick Wildcat Gran Sport

2009 Buick Roadmaster & 2010 Roadmaster Coupe

What do you think of them? I already like the Buick line (exception: their current SUVs) but have mixed feelings of the above vehicles.

It looks like they stretched out every vehicle they had, tried to give it a low 300 roof line and put the tacky chrome port holes on the side of every car. They talk about how the car will be competitive with all the imports, and have massive perofrmance and be a great drivers car. If you talk to the execs at Buick now, they will tell you all those things about their current cars. I don't think Buick knows how to build a car people want. You can write all the cool paragraphs you want, but it's what you build that matters.

Dude are you kidding me, TIGER driving a WILDCAT, it's brilliant! That's the best thing I have ever heard, I mean if he can't drive a VW Golf, then he should be driving a Wildcat. Maybe there is hope for the brand.

I'm an older guy who has always liked Buicks, especially since GM put the Cadillac Northstar engine and optional perforated leather seats in the Lucerne.  I think that GM did a great styling job on the 2009 Roadmaster.  I can only hope the interior has big cushy comfortable perforated leather seats as standard equipment and not silly things like glare-causing shiny wood on the steering wheel.  I like the fact that the Roadmaster name has been resurrected.  My guess is that the marketing guys will not know how to market this car properly -- they'll be up to their ususal tricks like foisting silly packages on consumers and hyping the car like snake oil instead of the luxurious performer that it probably is.  With the Northstar engine, 6-speed transmission and hopefully superior suspension specifications, this car requires a brochure that is written for the technocrat who will convince 10 of his budies to buy the car.

i will agree those perforated seats in buicks are really comfortable, it's like sitting in a lazy boy
