Hi,

I just replaced the front passenger window motor in July 2009. There are no recalls on this problem.  Sorry.

I've replaced both front regulators and one rear one during the life of my 2001 Grand Cherokee. Now a few years later the front one won't hold the widow up but will let it down. Great way to use paint stir sticks.

I replaced on the left front window of my 2003 GC about a year ago at the dealership for about $375.00.  A few weeks ago the left rear window broke.  I wasn't about to take it back to the dealership.  After reading this forum I purchased the part from Pocketlogger.  It arrived very quickly and it took about 2-hours to install following the detailed instructions on their website.  I know the others are going to go to so I plan on just buying another 3-blocks and replacing them all.

What a bunch of crap from Chrysler not wanted to admit there is a problem and manning up to it.  I have had so many dealership problems with my Jeep.  I know this for sure, it will be the last Jeep I own.  I always had Explorers for company vehicles and they were beat to hell and easily made it to 250-thousand miles.  This Jeep has 32K on it and it has been babied all it's life and I'll be lucky to get a 100K miles out of it.

You would think auto manufactures would wise up to their downfalls and do something about their quality control.  Guess next time I'll but foreign too.

But really go to pocketlogger and buy their window block and take the time to install it.  It;s worth the time and money saved and the part is very well made.

Good Luck

I know this post is a few years old but it helped me alot. The instructions were spot on. I am a woman with very little mechanical knowledge and I was able to repair the window with little problem because of this post. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Yes. Please....send some pics to bmeade38@gmail.com. I just got my door panel off and found out the problem. Sounds like the same as you.
