Hi. Thanks for looking at my question. First, I have a 1990 Dodge Caravan LE with only 63,000 original miles (I'm proud). But .... it won't idle! I have to continually press the gas pedal to make sure the rpm's stay around 800 to 1000 so the engine won't stop. Would anyone know why this might be happening? I know a couple of parts that might be necessary to replace, but I hate to pay $$$ for parts that might not solve the problem. The parts are: Throttle Position Sensor and/or AIS motor. Again, thanks for your consideration and help.
Oh, forgot - My Cruise Control is not working either. I was told that it "probably" needs a "speed control sensor" - a part that is on top of the transmission. Any suggestions? Thanks so very much.

well i had an 88 mini ram van with the same engine and a similar problem with my carbourator. now i dont know weither yours has a carb or is injection i would think injection so i can only think of 2 things ur injectors r plugged or ur getting bad gas. if ur injectors r plugged u will have to push on the gas to keep the gas going at a higher rate to get it through the clogged injector.
