This review of the convertible seems to be shallow. Is it me or are auto reviews gasping at straws as vehicles become even better?

I think they were probably generous. My experience with Pontiac has left me less than impressed with their ability to build a car. The reviewers in this case complained of no storage when the top is down. Very valid complaint, if you have ever taken a trip up the coast you know you want to put the top down without having to stop by a mail boxes etc to Fed Ex your luggage to the hotel. You have to pay for side airbags when they are standard on the Volvo. Visibility is poor, another valid complaint. Being able to see out of a vehicle is extremely important to me, they complained mostly about the low windsheild header which is critical to me being taller than the average person. They complained about the styling, I saw a new Volvo C70 two days ago and I have to say the Volvo makes the pontiac look like a bowl of plain yogurt. Volvo, they are out classed by Volvo in styling, "boxy but good". When Volvo blows you out of the water in the styling department its time to give up making cars and start making refrigerators. They didn't even get into the fact that I'm sure driving a G6 is about as invigorating as operating a toaster oven.
