I have a 1991 Dakota that has battery trouble. I changed the battery during the winter (December/January) because it would not take a charge when it went dead one day. I had to replace the battery again last week becuase it was dead again and would not charge up enough to start the engine.

I have checked (tested) the alternator and it registers as good. I can occaisionally jump the truck with a jumper machine, but it dies after about five minutes and wont start up again, even with the jumper machine.

Anyone know what else might be causeing the battery to be drained all together and to be ruined like this? I have not been able to get a good answer as yet.
