Many places in SoCal are still marking up the price over MSRP for M3's. Long Beach BMW sold me mine at MSRP. Talk to Rich Patrei, he's great to work with and very courteous and friendly. I believe I got mine, with SMG, Xenons, leather interior with upgraded width adjustable seats and upgraded Harman Kardon sound system around $58K out the door, including tax and license fees.

I picked up a 2003 745LI w/13k miles for $62K - only $4k more than M5 and a solid $20k back of new 2004 - pretty good deal I think

Why does everyone do that free vacation thing? What's in it for them? And don't you pay to ship it here yourself anyway?

The Euro deilvery thing is kind of a bust. The car must stay in Europe for 6 months before it can be transported over and you pay for the transportation.

I dont think it is a bust at all - although it varies greatly between manufacturers.
A 7% discount on a 50,000 car - thats $3500 thats alot of cheese. You can read a little about it in this post
