I helped my friend detail his BMW 7-Series that was in pretty bad shape on the outside. It had a lot of caked on dirt and really needed to be polished as there were swirls all over it. Started with a very thorough wash with Dawn dish liquid to get everything off the paint. Then clayed it, it had a lot of deposits on the paint, my clay bar actually disintegrated by the end. Then used High Temp Light Cut Polish with a Porter Cable polisher on high to level down the swirls. Hit it again with Menzerna Intensive Polish, and Menzerna Final Polish II. Made the swirls less noticeable by a lot, but they were still there. I would have had to use something much more agressive to get them all out. Sealed the paint with Klasse All In One & final top coat was Trade Secret carnuba wax. Used P21S wheel cleaner to get a lot of the grime off the wheels.
