Hello all...

I don't know much about cars, as you can probably guess from the topic.  How much relevance is there in the volume of an engine?

Would an engine with less volume be more fuel efficient, and more volume be more "powerful"?

Thanks,

Gas Devoid.

that is a loaded question you just asked.  Fuel efficiency and power are not directly related to an engines volume.  The engines volume is basically the combined amount of space in your cylinders.  Essentially it determines how much air can fit into your cylinder.

The general, generic rule is that the less air you have (smaller engine volume) the less fuel you need.  But this isn’t the ultimate determining factor in determining m.p.g
