I have noticed that people will post their problem in multiple sections of the Maintenance and Repair forums (a.k.a. "reposts").  Your questions will be seen just as many times if only posted in one section as i'm sure that most people who look in the Maintenance and Repair forums, look at all sections (auto maintenance, engine, transmission, etc.)

Thanks.

I am wondering if anyone knows who makes ALL POSITION brand tires.I bought a used 03 Tundra from the dealer, the rear tires are ALL POSITION brand tires but now I need to put 2 new tirs in the front and I would like to keep all the tires the same. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think the webmaster should combine this "tires" forum with the "tires and wheels" forum above, for obvious reasons.

I hope someone can answer my question. I own a Ford Sport Trac '04. A loud thumping sound developed around 16,000 miles, just at low speeds. I have taken the car to the Dealer. They said that I should of had the tires rotated every 6,000 miles. They told me I now need two front tires. My question is "what caused the tires to wear like this". Yes I should of had the tires rotated, but to be worn out that much  to cause the noise at 16,0000 miles is strange. Has anyone else had this experenice? Any suggestions?

A lot has been said about run flat tires on the Toyota Sienna AWD.  I have such a vihicle and after reading so many unhappy stories I decided that I did not want to be one of them.
My detailer ordered and installed a spare tie kit, put Cooper tires on the EXISTING rims and sent me on my way.  Some adjustment has to be made so that the tire pressure lite does not come on all the time.  The loss of space in the rear due to the 60 seat being up all the time is a little inconvenient but livable.  I have not tried to take the spare and spare kit out of the well but perhaps it can be done to be able to fold the 60 seat to be able to haul some big stuff.
I was amazed at how much softer the ride is now and a big difference in cornering and stopping.  Well worth the expense and loss of space.
Also, the detailer told me that removing a run flat from the rim is a challenge - he had to take them to Goodyear just to get the tires off.  The detailer has the equipment for replacing tires but could not break the run flat bead.  End of story.

I have a 2007 Pacifica. Had 2 blow outs, replaced all of the tires, with new Michelins.  Front left tire sensor is bad I am tod by locl dealer,  They want $55 for sensor and $100 labor to replace it.  Sounds a little on the high side to me.  Any opinions?

yeah, i mistakenly posted it under "tires and wheels" and then realized that it was possibly for the COMBINATION of tires and wheels so I "reposted" it under the section of "tires".  Now you would think that when deleting my "offending" post that was "reposted" taking up so much valuble whatever it is called that you use when you enter the wonderful world of the internet; the moderator would have deleted the post that was where it didnt belong, not the one that was posted under the right heading.  Having been a moderator for several very active forums myself for the past five or so years, I understand the importance of getting things put in the right sections of your forum; but you think someone would have asked me to remove one or emailed me as to such, instead of number one....just deleting it  and number two....deleting the post that was in the RIGHT section of this very important discussion group.  THAT is the reason I REPOSTED it, and I have given myself the appropriate amount of lashes with a serpentine drive belt for this major offense.  But being a FORD belt, it promptly broke after lash number two; so that amount will have to do till I can find some other way to inflict pain on myself for this very serious infraction.  I wish others will take heed of my improprieties as to not infuriate the webmaster twice in one day. Wow, I didnt realize I would cause so much unrest when I posted.  I should have immediately taken down the origional post. This would have   1. Kept me from infuriating anyone with my "repost"  and 2.  gotten the PROPER post taken off, leaving the second post in the PROPER section.  Kind of kill two birds with the proverbial stone, ya know?  But being the slightly imperfect person that I am, I  1. Posted my post in a second; however PROPER section, while   2. Leaving my first post in the IMPROPER SECTION. I could have left it in the wrong section but being the kind of person I am, I tried to put it into the right one.  Thus, I am accused of the crime of REPOSTING in TWO sections, and will leave my punishment up to my second grader, as this whole thing is about her speed.  No; shes above that.  Sorry to have been such a big problem; gee I didnt know you had to be perfect to post on here, I didnt read that in the rulebook.
