I have a 1999 blazer that's burning off transmission fluid. I was told to have an transmission flush.  

My wife's 93 Oldsmobile Regency Elite will not
shift after 1st gear? Mechanic's said it's the
transmission. Changed the fluid and filter, no
shifting? 4t60e  

I have a 1996 C1500 5.7 ltr and 4L60 trans. The problem is when I start the engine on a cold morning a loud whine comes from the front of thr transmission, as near as I can tell.
This all started after my last trip pulling a 4800lb travel trailer. The truck has all the factory equipment needed for pulling a trailer. I have been told it could be the torque converter or the pump? The whine goes away after a short warmup, no other problems. What is the whine telling me and how long before it shoots craps? Will this problem take a complete rebuild?

I have a 2002 ford ranger 4x4,4.oL..my tranny slams in gear if i get into it much, but works ok if i baby it ,some say its a electronic shifter module? need help  

change the transmission filter....

change the transmission fluid...

change the transmission pan gasket..

this is called a transmission service...

you may have already destroyed the transmission already..

these DO NOT LIKE TO BE slammed into gear...  

you probably have a low fluid level.. but its more than likely a clogged transmission filter..

be sure to check the debris in the pan..

look for fiber.. a little is ok..

look for brass... a little is worrying..

look for steel.. a little is worrying..

look for aluminum..  any is really worrying..

how to tell the difference..  use a magnet...  

there is also a big magnet in the pan..  be sure to clean that..


the transmission fluid level in these have to be checked with the engine RUNNING in park...  

Mitsubishi Pajero 1996 2800cc diesel intercooler automatic.
i am having issues with my auto transmission. it does not shift to the fourth gear. i am having this problem since i changed the oil fluid. there is no unusual sound from the gear, it is same as it was before the oil change. the shifting is perfect, but only it does not shift to the 4th gear!
i have also checked my overdrive button and that is not the issue.
my mechanic told me that reason could be the kickback cable and he replaced it with the new one.
still i m having the same problem

sorry I have no answer.  I only have a transmission question too, but I don't know how to ask it in this forum.  My question is: I have a 2000 Ford Explorer,  I changed the valve body gaskets and put it all back together.  Now I cannot shift into reverse or neutral.  What have I done and how do I undo it?!
