Hi,
I bought a used Isuzu Trooper II, 1988 which electronic control transmission (ECT) was stolen some time ago. In the Texas Certificate title appears Mr. Fletcher Dodge Shergood AR as the previous owner, and I think he may have been the first or the dealership who sold this van to the first costumer.
Any place I go to ask for the ECT of my Trooper they ask for the part number which I do not have any idea which could be because I do not have it. They all say that they can not find the exact ECT unit until they do not get this information. They always suggest to get in contact with the dealer’s Trooper to see if they can help me. Please try to help me or please tell me who may.
The general information of my trooper is:
Isuzu Trooper II, 1988,
engine RLJ, 2.6L, 4cyl, 4x4,
Trans: M40
VIN: JAACH18E6J7829716.
It uses an Automatic electronic transmission.
The plug that should fit on this controller that my trooper has is female and yellow. It has 24 holes where the pins controller plugs in.
The transmission controller was stolen from my vehicle before I bought it. For this reason I do not have any more information (about color, serial numbers, makers, etc.) of it.

Please send me as much information you can. Also, please send me datasheet or specifications and if possible a digital photograph of the ECT parts, as well the photo of its plug and part´s numbers.
My best regards
My e-mail is: alberto@fis.cinvestav.mx

I have a 2001 Impala with a 4T65E tranny. I was taking off from a light and I heard this BAM! noise, the rpms went up as I was accelerating.  The car was not moving and it was as though it had been shifted into neutral.  Now I have no forward gears at all.  Reverse and Park are the only working gears.  Any ideas as to what the problem could be before taking it to the transmission shop would be greatly appreciated.
